Activity center
Egmont has its own fitness room, the “Activity Center” which can freely be utilized by all residents. The center is open from 07:00 – 23:00.
The Center crossfit machines include a row machine, numerous exercise bikes and cross-trainers. Additionally the center contains different strength training machines, a large area with free weights and a bouldering room.
A large area in the middle of the center includes a great floor space with big wall mirrors. This is used for different team exercises like modern dance, crossfit and boxing. All residents can sign up. The Activity Center-committee are in charge of purchase of new equipment and machines, as well as cleaning and repair.
Café Irgens
The café is frequently an assembly point for residents. Every Thursday between 22:00 – 02:00 the residents can enjoy cheap drinks, music and a dancefloor.
The café is closed during the quiet period between may-juni and december and january for the sake of the students exam periode.
The Community Closet
The Community Closet is located in the basement, right by the entrance to slyngelstuen. The room functions as Egmont’s very own costume wardrobe. The Community Closet is open once a week from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM for renting costumes for Egmont’s many theme parties.
The creative room
In Egmont’s basement is the creative room, which is primarily available to its members. However, the room also hosts social and creative events that all residents can participate in.
The creative room is furnished with high tables and chairs, a music system, and a mirror. The room includes, among other things, a sewing machine, mannequin, paint, easels, brushes, charcoal, pencils, paper, knitting needles, glue guns, beads, and protective paper.
The lounge
The lounge serves as a gathering place for all residents, where they have the opportunity to play table tennis, billiards, video games, have a home theater experience, watch TV, or use the lounge’s kitchenette
The reading hall
Egmont has its own reading hall, where there is an opportunity to study in peace and quiet. Study tables and lamps are available, and talking is not allowed in the reading room.
Musica
Musica is a building located in the backyard facing Jagtvej. Here it is possible to practice music in the dedicated rehearsal rooms, which are also equipped with various musical instruments and equipment. The rhythmic rehearsal rooms are equipped with drum sets (without cymbals), guitar amplifiers, bass amplifiers, and PA systems. All of the highest quality. Additionally, the smallest of the rhythmic rehearsal rooms has an upright piano.
Print & copy
All residents have access to the dormitory’s print and copy room, where it is possible to print and copy for a small fee. The payment is added to the next rent.
Sauna
All residents have access to the dormitory’s sauna and its associated baths.
Laundry
All residents have access to the dormitory’s laundry room, where it is possible to wash and dry clothes for a small fee. The payment is deducted from the following month’s rent. Additionally, there are two drying rooms with the option to hang clothes.
